Sometimes a damaged screen is obvious to the eye, like a cracked screen, and sometimes its not, like the touch functionality failing. Either way we can help!

Laptop Screen Issues

Distortion – Fuzzy or blurry displays, distorted colors, and lines can make the screen hard to use. Distortions can occur with corrupted software & drivers, or when cables are damaged, ie. broken, burnt, or loose.

Pixel Defects – This issue includes dead pixels, extra bright, and malfunctioning pixels. A dead pixel occurs when the transistor that powers it fails to supply power, causing it to remain permanently black. These pixel issues can stem from both manufacturing defects and physical damage to the screen, like a drop.

Object sizes – Ever have your desktop icons enlarge to the point your laptop is unusable? Luckily this type of issue is usually resolved by adjusting the resolution settings of your device.

Inverter – Is your screen almost black, but you can see very faint or dim images? If you shine a flashlight onto the screen and are able to see faint images the issue likely lies in your inverter. These issues stem from connection problems, faulty circuits, or bad conductor coils.

How to prepare for an estimate

To prepare for an estimate request there are a few things you can do to expedite the process.

Firstly, discover the Serial, Model, or Service tag; generally found on the bottom of the device.

Next, take a video or pictures detailing the damage, bonus points for sending several angles!

Finally, include a detailed description of your problem, including details on when the issue started, the functions it is affecting, any troubleshooting you have attempted, and your preference on having the service done at your location or at our office.
